Trainee & Cadet Programmes
Start your maritime career with GMP Bulgaria.
GMP Bulgaria offers two types of programmes for current students and recent graduates: Trainee and Cadet programmes in the fields of Navigation, Marine Engineering, and Marine Electrical Engineering.
Trainee Programme
Trainees are primarily students from the Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy (NVNA) and the Technical University of Varna. The minimum contract duration ranges from 3 to 6 months, depending on the programme.
Eligible fields of study include:
Navigation / Maritime Navigation – students who have completed their third year;
Marine Engineering – students who have completed their third year;
Marine Electrical Engineering – students who have completed their third year.
Cadet Programme
The Cadet Programme is designed for graduates who have completed their maritime education. The minimum contract duration is 8-10 weeks.
How to Apply
Step 1 — Interview
Schedule an interview using the telephone numbers provided in the Contacts section. Please bring an up-to-date Curriculum Vitae (CV) in English to your interview.
Step 2 — English Language Test
After successfully completing the interview with the Company Manager, you will be required to take an English language test.
Step 3 — Documents
If your application is approved, our team will provide you with detailed information about the documents and certificates you need to prepare before joining the vessel.
